Template text. These are sample conditions for a small-group tour operator. Replace the percentages, the days and the company name with your own, and have them checked against the rules for package travel where you sell.

Deposit and balance

A deposit of 20 % of the tour price holds your place. The balance is due 60 days before departure. If you book inside 60 days, the full price is due when you book.

If you cancel

• More than 60 days before departure: we refund everything except the deposit, or move the deposit to another date once.
• 60 to 30 days: we refund 50 % of the tour price.
• Fewer than 30 days: no refund, unless we resell your place.

If we cancel

A departure is confirmed once two travellers have booked. If we have to cancel a tour, you choose between a full refund and another date.

Changes on the day

Guides change a route when weather, sea or a closed path make the plan unsafe. A changed day is not grounds for a refund. A lost day is, in proportion.

Insurance and fitness

Travel insurance that covers the activities on your tour is required. Tell us before you book about anything that affects how far you can walk, swim or climb a ladder.
